about us

For our farmers and ranchers, it is a moral obligation to raise animals with humane and respectful handling. It all adds up to pork and beef that puts Good Nature® a cut above the rest.

To meet these standards at our processing facilities, we base our policies on the American Meat Institute’s (AMI) animal welfare and handling guidelines. Each of our facilities is equipped with animal handling specialists who conduct facility audits to ensure animal welfare. These practices help reduce animal stress while delivering pork and beef that’s consistently more tender and delicious.

Good Nature® pork starts with pigs raised in the Midwest by farmers who have a passion for quality and a commitment to raising pigs the right way. From birth, our pigs are raised the way nature intended, socializing and interacting with other pigs. We never use antibiotics or artificial growth stimulants, and our pigs are fed only a vegetarian diet of corn and soy, completely free from animal by-products.

For our Good Nature® beef, we began by examining the entire cattle raising process. We employed best practices at each step of production to ensure wholesome, natural beef. We align with farms and ranchers who follow strict genetic, feeding, and handling protocols. Good Nature® beef is raised with no added hormones, no antibiotics, and no animal by-products ever.

We make it our mission to ensure that we produce meat of a higher quality by maintaining close relationships with our farmers and verifying that animal handling standards are being met. All of our pork farmers are Pork Quality Assurance Plus (PQA Plus®) certified and our beef ranchers are Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certified to ensure the integrity of their farms and ranches.
