Adult Pleasing & Kid Friendly Pulled Pork

  • (1) 4-5 lb
    Good Nature® Bone-In Pork Butt
  • 1 tbsp
    kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp
    freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp
    sweet paprika
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 4 cups
    chicken stock or broth


  • (6) 4.5”
    flour tortillas (street taco size)
  • ½ cup
    bbq sauce
  • ½ cup
    cheddar cheese, shredded

    Serve with rice, black beans, and carrot and celery sticks


  • (8) 4.5”
    flour tortillas (street taco size)
  • ¼ cup
    olive oil
  • 1 tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 2 large
    carrot, julienned
  • 3 stalks
    celery, julienned
  • 2
    green apples, julienned
  • 2
    jalapenos, thinly sliced

    Serve with chipotle rice, mashed avocado, and cilantro

In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika. Pat pork dry with paper towels and rub with spice mixture. Place roast in slow cooker and add onion and chicken stock. Cook on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours or on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or until meat is fork tender. Remove pork from liquid and shred.

For the kids: Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray mini cupcake pan with non-stick spray. Stuff a flour tortilla into each hole. Fill tortilla with pork and top with bbq sauce and shredded cheese. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Serve 2 to 3 tortilla cups with rice, black beans, and carrot and celery sticks.

For the adults: In a medium bowl, combine oil, vinegar, mustard, sugar, and salt; whisk to combine. Add carrot, celery, apple, and jalapeno. To serve, place shredded pork onto flour tortilla and top with slaw. Serve with chipotle rice topped with avocado mash and cilantro.
