
Steakhouse Creamed Spinach

Ingredients

3 tbspbutter

2 mediumshallots, finely minced

2 clovesgarlic, minced

1½ cupsheavy cream

(2) 16oz bagsfrozen spinach, defrosted & drained

1 cupparmesan cheese, finely grated

2 pinchesground nutmeg

1 pinchkosher salt & freshly ground pepper
In a Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-high, add butter and shallots and sauté about 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add garlic and cook, stirring often, about 2 additional minutes.
Slowly stir in heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring often. Add parmesan and nutmeg; cook until sauce begins to thicken, about 3 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low, add spinach, and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
